Jackie Chan is correct: US most corrupt

Jackie Chan earned his career and has probably nothing to lose (or so he thinks): Says US most corrupt. Now guess what’s happening to him…

HONG KONG – Jackie Chan, the Chinese martial arts superstar and comedy legend, is currently character-assassinated by our Western propaganda media and so-called ‘China Experts’. His crime? Mr. Chan said in a Chinese interview (here[i]) that America was responsible for, quote: “the biggest corruption in the world.” Mr. Chan worked both in China and the US.

The Washington Post immediately destroyed Mr. Chan for his ‘Anti-Americanism’. The Daily Mail (of Britain) launched a media assault, ostracizing Mr. Chan as notorious “defender of the Communist Party” and “harsh critic of anyone opposing Beijing.”[ii] The tabloid goes on slamming Chan, who obviously “bites the hand that feeds him” (he’s a man in Hollywood), and as somebody who is “opposed to freedom” and insults the free people of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Other gossip media, including Gawker, the Huffington Post, CNBC, and the Ministry of Tofu, joined the inquisition –here, [iii] here, [iv] here, [v] and here.[vi]

From the context of the extended interview, however, it is clear that, say, the Daily Mail is killing the Chinese messenger: It reports Mr. Chan slightly out of context. Here’s what he said: “Our country’s leaders also admit that they are corrupted. We’re improving. I see our country continuously improving and learning. You talk about corruption? The whole world? Does corruption exist in the US? [Host: The US, mmh…] It’s the biggest corruption in the world! [Host: Really?] Of course! Who makes the world collapse? The US. The US started this.” Mr. Chan apparently tried to hold up a mirror to the US: Look, this is Empire talking corruption onto others.

Actually, despite the Western press soldiers showing Mr. Chan their neck of the woods for his truth-telling, it is (sadly) absolute factual that the biggest corruption cases in recent history, be that in global business or in sports, are actually Western-made. Here’s a top 10 list of ‘The Ten Largest Global Corporate Corruption Cases’ (Source: Fiscal Times[vii]). Oh, and here is list of the ’25 biggest Corporate Scandals Ever’ (via List25[viii]). We could go on forever with this: The US attacked over 80 countries or territories in 178 military operations over the last 200 years, installed puppet regimes, bribed the elites, and exploited cheap labor. In academia, if you want to study corruption, you will find only Western theories. In fact, the world of scams, email scam, ponzi schemes, and financial frauds is pioneered by Western inventors. Here’s how to avoid the ‘World’s 10 Biggest Financial Scams’ (via MoneyMorning[ix]). And, last one for today: ‘Top 10 Signs the US is the most corrupt nation in the world’ (via Juan Cole[x]).

To finish this: It is impossible to talk about big corruption (from Sicilian mafia to the Wolf of Wall Street to Fifa) without America and the West leading in all categories. Mr. Chan is undeniably telling a factual truth; you just don’t do so on TV.
