There is probably not a single major Youtube channel that is NOT affected by the recent clampdown on the internet. It is all-encompassing. Truly scary.
H3H3Productions, with his 3,718,868 subscribers, made a telling video about the Wall Street Journal criminalizing major Youtubers and companies such as Disney and Coca-Cola who advertise with Youtubers (the “alternative news media”).
That video about censorship was immediately… censored too! The censorship of H3H3Productions consists, for now, in demonetizing and delisting his videos. It means that his videos are flagged for inappropriate content, disabled for ad revenue, and hidden in Youtube‘s family friendly ‘restriction mode’.
Google, which owns Youtube and has a global monopoly on ‘search’ in the internet, wants to eliminate all so-called alternative media, in the name of the legacy media such as Wall Street Journal or even the New York Times.
It remains to be seen whether the Youtubers fight back. On top of freezing them out of business, persecution looms: The Wall Street Journal recently slandered Youtube‘s most popular Youtuber, Pewdiepie, as a Nazi and Antisemite. The story is completely fabricated. Pewdiepie has 54 million followers who are a force to be reckon with, yet Wall Street Journal doesn’t seem to care. Which proofs (to me at least) that the Journal indeed is in cahoots with the censors…
